Both Olivia and Harvey died aged 17 following car crashes involving young drivers in North Wales. Olivia, of Efenechtyd, was killed near Ruthin in June 2019; a back-seat passenger, she was the only fatality in a two-vehicle crash caused by her racing friends, one of whom had only passed their driving test a day earlier. Both drivers were jailed. Harvey, of Shrewsbury, drowned in Gwynedd in November 2023 after his friend lost control of the car he was driving during a camping trip.
